Jade became a national celebrity in 2003 when she appeared on Big Brother 3. Following that she appeared on a number of reality tv shows before returning to Celebrity Big Brother in January 2007. In August 2008, Jade appeared on the Indian Big Brother where she found out that she had cervical cancer and in February 2009 she found out it was terminal. Jade married Jack Tweed on 22nd February 2009.
Sadly Jade passed away in the early hours of Mothers Day on 22nd March 2009. Jade had used her public profile to raise awareness of her cervical cancer and in doing so may save many lives. Rest in Peace Jade. You will be sadly missed.
Jade Goody passed away in the early hours of this morning after an 8 month battle with cervical cancer. Jade will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
Please take the time to leave a message of condolence for her friends and family, and to help them through this most difficult of times.
When one looks upon Jade's life and legacy it is important to take an unbiased honest view of it. Clearly, she was not perfect, but then who is? First lets acknowledge the positives. A great campaigner for Cancer Research. Well done Jade! She turned over a leaf in the final part of her life and seemed to be making good progress. In fairness one must also acknowledge her bad side. Most notably, her racist hatred shown to thousands on tv against Shilpa Shetty as it made me, as a young British Asian, feel victimised. There is no justification for it in life or in death. Racism should have no place in our multicultural society. The work Jade did for Cancer Research should be taken as a positive by everyone but it should not excuse Jade's explosion of racism on tv. There is no justification for it in life or in death. To remember Jade Goody today is to remember that everyone of any race, creed or religion deserves a second chance. It is also to remember in fairness the good with the bad and still be able to look on, to go on, to continue in our lives living the best examples and knowing never to repeat the worst in our lives. If we can do this then Jade Goody has made an impact across cultures and religions. If we can't do this then we are doomed to repeat her worst mistakes in our own lives. Let us learn from Jade together and let her rest as an inspiration to all of us. MA Khan

What can anyone really say. This lovely lady - Jade - will always be missed by those who truly appreciate what a lovely person she was - she shone even in her darkest days and had had such a rotten start in life. She didn't reproach anyone for this but got on with it. Had two gorgeous little boys. She was a great looker I think - with so much courage and strength. Anyone who says different has to be either very inferior as a human being (but not human I think) or just plain nasty. I loved Jade and hope she is in a beautiful place. She never deserved to die so young, was so inspiring and loved life. We still and always will love her. XXX

Please delete my comments: MC: "There is a little section in the Bible called 'Promise Of Hope' and it's so lovely. Listen, I'll read it to you "Call to me and I will answer you. I will tell you wonderful marvellous things that you know nothing about." I don't know why those words mean so much to me – why they move me. But they do. And I need to keep saying them if only to convince myself there are wonderful things to come." - Jade Goody. MC: Where can I watch "Jade: A Year Without Her"? MC: Happy anniversary. We miss you Jade. MC: To Susan Moffet: Shame on you for trashing Jade's memory. To Chris: Yes she did. MF: Jade Goody touched my heart. She showed us that the only thing in life that really matters is love. She saved countless of lives and although she is gone, she will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to her loved ones, ecpecially Bobby, Freddy and Jack. I'm often close to tears when I think about their loss, but then I remember what Jade said: "Life is for laughing." Forever in my heart. xx Thanks in advance.

Every time it comes round to Mother's Day I think of you a lot, your spirit and presence is greatly missed. You made me realise how precious time is and how important it is to grab as much time with your family as you. XX
